Gotta Have House Music, All Night Long

This is somewhat a response to a huge influx of dubstep I've seen lately. Know your roots guys. House was the original, with DJs such as Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, A Guy Called Gerald, and The Hot Mix 5 amongst many others. The title of this blog comes from Marshall Jefferson's Move Your Body, also known as the House National Anthem.

Below are some of the more famous tracks
Marshall Jefferson- Move Your Body

Frankie Knuckles- Your Love

A Guy Called Gerald- Voodoo Ray

Farley "Jackmaster" Funk- Love Can't Turn Around

  5. Its a promo flyer for Trax Records, which was one of the original record labels for house music. The skyline is the Chicago skyline, with the John Hancock building prominently displayed.

  27. House is where it's at, I love listening to the older djs and imagining how much harder it was to produce their sounds than it is today when anyone and their grandmother can torrent Pro Tools or Cubase and crap out a musical piece.
